- Definition and hazards of confined spaces (toxic, flammable, oxygen-deficient)
- Atmospheric monitoring with multi-gas detectors and calibration
- Mechanical ventilation methods and continuous air exchange
- Confined space entry permits, entry watch (standby), and communication
- Emergency rescue planning, tripods, winches, and harness retrieval systems
